ELECTRO MODEL

>>I personally have not read V magazine yet (yeah, I know it's bad) but when I came across these vibrant bold images I soon realised what I have been missing. Photographer Pierre Dubusschere took these amazing images for V magazine spain. The explosion of colour is like candy for my eyes, I'm like a kid in a very fashionable candy store. The tropical colour clashes remind me of parrot feathers and the statement brush strokes could be snakes curling around the models shoulders.

Let's just say that V magazine has made a huge impact on me.

MIXED MEDIA FASHION

>>As soon as I found these creative fashion mixed media illustrations on TrendLand I fell in love with them. The fashion collages are by graphic designer Carl E. Smith. Using symbol, colour and space he creates imagery that lives between real life and fantasy. These images are from his most recent show, Intra Fashion.

Stairway to Pastel Heaven

>>Madrid-based architecture firm Selgascano recently created "El 'B". This performing centre is built on the docks of Cartagena, Spain. With the use of Selgascano's bright, translucent colours comes a beautiful layering affect of pastels which flow throughout the building.

When I first saw this amazing masterpiece one thought came to me, Why can't I work there?! The calm pastel colours and the clear spacious surroundings looks so welcoming.

Ina Jang in Jalouse

>>Ina Jang is a photographer that I have only just come across. These images are the first pieces of work that I have seen of hers, and I love every one of them. She doesn't just take photos, she allows use to see what she likes and what she dislikes about them. The Brooklyn- based photographer takes to every image with a pair of scissors, snipping away and playing with a few elements of the photo. She says "I started it because I was struggling to make images at the time"- featured in Time Lightbox. "I was forcing myself to like everything-from the people I worked with to locations where I was shooting, so I started getting rid of elements I didn't like in the picture".

I have fallen in love with Ina's statement images, everything from the colours to the simple little cuts and snips of each picture. This 13-page series is full of pastels, trends, accessories and Ina's trademark cutting edge. Now when I see a pair of scissors I'll be thinking of Ina's masterpieces.
