ADD COLOUR TO SPRING SUMMER 2013

SS13 TOPSHOP UNIQUE

>>Topshop's most successful collection hit the catwalk this afternoon. Showcasing light fabrics, heavy prints mixed with dashes of sliver metallic and deep blues. As I watched the show it felt very light and soft, all of the fabrics moved with the models and looked relaxed. Using hints of see-through fabric on sections of dresses and tops emphasized the light and airy feel about the collection.

Comparing this collection with some of Topshop's earlier Unique shows, I was pleasantly surprised by the simplistic colours and make up. All of the models had a sense of natural beauty which wasn't covered by bright luminous colours and make up but complimented by minimalist cuts, fabrics and colours.

CUSTOMIZE THE CATWALK

>>Topshop Unique S/S 13 collection hit the catwalk this afternoon and what a collection it was. Perfectly balanced prints and patterns made this collection Topshop's best one yet.  Not only did they create this incredible collection but Topshop also teamed up with Facebook for the first time ever to create a fashion environment for those who couldn't make the show, to watch it live at the comfort of your cosy beds! This included being able to take snap shoots of the collection as it happened live and to share them around the social globe on Facebook and Twitter, shopping from the collection as soon as it hit the catwalk and download the music straight from the show. I'm not over exaggerating when I say that this idea has got to be the best thing to happen to Fashion Week for a long time!

Allowing thousands and thousands of people to feel that step closer to watching the show live is an amazing feeling, I sat watching the show live from my laptop and for the first time I felt like I was getting involved and being able to take my own snaps from the event was a really uplifting feeling. I felt like I was sitting front row with Wintour and Chung!

FABRIC RAINBOWS

>>I think my eyes have just fallen in love with fashion all over again. I am a girl that is very rarely speechless, but these images taken at Marc Jacobs NY Fashion Week collection are simply breath taking. All I can say is photographer Columbine Goldsmith should get an award for taking these golden images of fashion at its best.

HERE WE GO, HERE WE GO AGAIN

>>It doesn't feel like a whole year has passed since I was at London Fashion Weekend last September.
Today was the launch of 2012 London Fashion Week showcasing all of 2013's most fashionable designers. The very first designers allowed to step out onto the freshly polished runway was Antoni & Alison, their Mod inspired collection featured high neck lines, knee length skirts and bowl cuts. I loved the final little touch of the brass musical band stepping out onto the runway to close the show!

Other designers set to dazzle the runway today are Zoë Jordan, Felder Felder, Corrie Nielsen and sass & bide (that's just a few!)

SOME INSPIRATION FOR Y'ALL

>>Right, firstly I want to say that I'm so sorry for being a massive slacker and basically disowning my blog for about 2 months. I know that that is seriously not cool and I am totally disappointed in myself right now! The past couple of months has been like a crazy ride of life changing experiences. I turned 18 in July which is a big change if I say so myself, also I have got my first ever job at New Look in my little high street and to top it all off I went to my first ever festival in August. Yes, V festival was an experience I will never forget, I went looking like a festival chick and came home looking more like a homeless rat!

So I basically wanted to explain why you haven't heard from me in ages and that's why. I hope you forgive me! I will be back blogging on my days off so wipe those tears away and be prepared to hear about all of the latest street style, fashion tips and gossip that your fashion brain can handle!

Let's start by looking at some Street Style inspiration from Madrid Fashion Week.
