SHOPPING AT MALLZEE

>>Admit it, no one likes to go shopping, spot the perfect dress and then find that they haven't got your size or standing in miles upon miles of queue's. If you had the choice between going through the stresses of shopping instore or sitting at home with a cuppa and your laptop on calmly clicking through the pages of tops and dresses, I know the one I would choose! So, when I was approached by new online shopping store Mallzee I was very excited. Mallzee.com is a brand new online shopping experience which makes shopping online more sociable and fun. The main reason Mallzee stands out and is unique from the many other online stores is that each user can create individual shopping malls full of their favourite brands. They can share their fashion finds with their friends on Facebook and Twitter and here's the best bit, you can gain great deals and discounts for your friends along the way!

It doesn't end there! The user who built the Mallzee gets paid each time their friends buy anything via it!! The website isn't set to launch until later this year but don't let that get to you. Sign up on Mallzee.com now to receive an exclusive invite for the site launch later this year! I've done mine already.

WILD THING

>>Yesterday my favourite brand Mulberry released their A/W 12 campaign. Their current collection inspired by children's book 'Where The Wilds Things Are' featured long haired coats and colours from the forest. In an older post of mine I talked about the inspirational London Fashion Week show and how it increased my love for the British brand.

Mulberry's A/W 12 collection was very impressive so the campaign had to represent the quality of the collection. Don't worry, It certainly did that! Like their S/S 12 campaign which was shot by my favourite photographer Tim Walker at the sunny location of Brighton Pier and featured giant sticks of rock and melted ice creams, their A/W 12 campaign is slightly similar. Again the shoot was taken by the lovely Tim Walker and in the style of Walker it featured giant monsters and was located in a forest with extremely tall trees.

I love the bright bold splashes of orange and red in the images and I think that Lindsey Wixson was the perfect model for this shoot, her skin colour and natural look really enhances the theme of the shoot.

LONDON COLLECTIONS: MEN, DAY 3

>>YES! I am sad to say that today was the final day of London Collections: Men. To kick start the final day of this amazing fashion event, designer J.W Anderson hit the runway. I loved everything about this classic collection, calm block colours and simple accessories worked so well together. I especially loved the cute teddy T's worn with tailored suit trousers.

I thought that J.W Anderson did an amazing job at opening the final day of the first Men's fashion event and Nicole Farhi closed the event with a final classy runway show. The collection was based around the perfect gentleman and a lot of tailored trousers! All of the models had a classic clean cut look and reminded me a lot of geeky Superman or Captain America. Nicole's collection represented the style of the whole London Collections event, smart fashion for men which shows class and sophistication.

London Collections: Men was the first ever big fashion event for men in London! I thought that it was a complete success and I am slightly jealous of men's fashion right now. I may have to try and sneak a couple of key pieces from the Katie Eary collection, girls can pull off men's clothing anyway!! I hope that this will become a yearly event because I think people forget that men do like fashion as well and we need to have more for them. All I can say is jealous, much!

LONDON COLLECTIONS MEN: DAY 2

>>Today was day 2 of London Collections: Men and the first show to start off the day was from statement designer Sibling. This collection had a slight Gareth Pugh feel about it with the models faces being covered up and distorted, but this didn't take away from the clothing. Gentle creams and golds on light baggy fabric, looked both comfy and sporty. It is clear that the Olympic games certainly had an impact on the design for this collection.

Another collection that caught my eye today was the Katie Eary collection. I really thought that this show represented everything about A/W men's fashion. The collection was built around statement prints and patterns, white trainers and silk fabrics. I have always been a fan of silk scarf patterned shirts and bomber jackets!

ALEXA CHUNG AT LONDON COLLECTIONS

>>She is seen as a fashion icon around the world and is known for her relaxed city girl look. So of course Alexa Chung was going to be invited to attend London's biggest men's fashion event. She went to the first day of London Collections and sported 3 outfits over the course of several hours!

First she wore a cute grey school girl dress with a patterned shirt worn underneath, this outfit also featured a embroidered pineapple on the dress and black gloss boots. Her second outfit of the day was more relaxed and casual. She wore a silk gold patterned shirt with skinny grey jeans, a statement black hat paired with a black leather bag and gloss boots. Not forgetting that gorgeous Burberry cream rain mac. For Alexa's final outfit of the day she wore a cosy chunky knit jumper tucked into a black leather pencil skirt. She saved on accessories by using the same bag but changed her shoes to a cute pair of gold pumps, just in time to catch the Martine Rose runway collection.

Alexa was also asked to feature in the 'Fashion is great' photo shoot to promote the London Collections event. She was joined by David Gandy and a group of apprentice tailors from Savile Row. Seeing photographs like this does make you realize that fashion is such a wonderful thing and creates such a big atmosphere when an event like this is taking place.

Fashion truly is GREAT

LONDON COLLECTIONS MEN: LAUNCH EVENT & DAY 1

>>It has been dubbed the first London Fashion Week for men and has a schedule tightly packed full of British designers. These includes fashion talents such as Pringle, Topman Design, Burberry, Paul Smith and many, many more.

The London Collections Men event kicked off today with a launch party hosted by none other than HRH The Prince of Wales! This invite only event was set at St James's Palace London. After the glitzy launch party day 1 hosted 13 yes 13!! catwalk collections from many designers (here's a few) Lou Dalton, Hackett London, Topman Design, Orlebar Brown and Joseph Abboud. I have had a look through all of the collections and have chosen my main highlight from Day 1 London Collections Men.

My highlight was the Topman Design collection, I chose this because I thought that the collection represented everything about A/W fashion so well. Mixing greys with pop's of colour, thick knits and bomber jackets scream out 'Bring on those rainy September days'! Another highlight from this collection was the American styled baggy tops and shorts featuring football styled numbers. They all came in bold block colours and looked good enough for the Olympic games.
